Transportation
The hotel does not have transportation service, but public transportation is easily accessible. The A,C, and E (Blue) subway lines are right outside the hotel, and within two blocks are the B,D,F, and M (Orange), 1, 2, and 3 (Red) and N, Q, R, and W (Yellow) lines. The New York Subway, one of the first major subway lines in the world, is the major mode of transportation for most New Yorkers. It can be crowded and not-so-clean, but it is inexpensive, generally safe, and usually faster than driving. Masks are encouraged but not required on subways at this time.
New York is served by three major airports: John F. Kennedy (JFK), LaGuardia (LGA), and Newark (EWR).
Of course you may choose to take a car service from any of the airports, but the trip can be expensive, particularly from Newark airport. Each airport is served by public transit in different ways. LaGuardia mostly serves domestic flights, but it is the closest and most modern of the three. If you have a choice of NY airports for your trip, we recommend LaGuardia.
From LaGuardia (LAG): The least expensive and simplest way is to take the Q70 bus from the airport and change to the E train. There is no direct train service (yet) from LaGuardia.
From Newark (EWR): The Airtrain is a little tricky to find, but it is definitely less expensive and can be faster than driving. This method avoids buses and is very simple.
From Kennedy (JFK): This involves a long and possibly crowded subway ride but is definitely the least expensive (and possibly fastest) way to get to the conference venue from JFK.
Amtrak service to Moynihan Train Hall at Penn Station is one block from the hotel.
